Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church

Lord just what have You done with me?
Who I am now, isn’t who I used to be
Three years ago on our place not a horse could be found
Now we have had six and there’s still three around

I used to wear a tie, coat and white shirt
But now it’s a hat, belt and boots when I go to church
It’s at the fairgrounds where our spirits get fired
Coffee and donuts and something called a barbed wire choir

Harry, Lonnie, Dale, Butch and lots of the good Word
People unashamed of their roots and their love for the Lord
Western gospel played on guitar, fiddle and mandolin
Voices lifted in praise when the people sing

Falls Creek, chuck wagon grub and helping one another
Singing around the fire and fellowship with my brothers
Gunfighters, barrel racing, roping and cowboy VBS
Rodeos and benefits, services at the museum and all the rest

Just look Lord how you have changed my life in just a few years
Through all the good and bad I am glad that I’m here
I remember when You said move and I went in search
‘Til I found a place called Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church
