| History of Our Church Steve’s Vision Written by Ken Howry I’m glad God gave the Vision, to a man who had the sand To follow through and plant a church according to God’ s plan. He ain’t afraid to saddle up and head on down the trail ‘Cause he knows that when God has the reins, there’s no way he can fail. He took to heart Paul’s message: “All things, to all men to win some” And reachin’ out with the Gospel is how the West is won. Folks that love the cowboy lifestyle; who are stewards of the earth; They need to know our Savior and just what the soul is worth. “We’ll start a cowboy church at Duncan, out on the Chisholm Trail, To turn folks through the Narrow Gate, to keep ‘em out of hell.” With much prayer and deep devotion, his dream is comin’ true, And the First Baptist Church of Duncan has played a big role, too, in leadin’ cowboys to the kingdom; sharin’ God’s Word so they’ll believe; So with hat in hand, and from the bottom of our hearts, We want to thank you, Steve!
